Sign up to take the required Texas real estate license courses online or Correspondence - textbook or e-book (PDF)

- 0121 Real Estate Principles I (PDF with Quizzes)
- 0122 Real Estate Principles II (PDF with Quizzes)
- 1151 Law of Agency (PDF with Quizzes)
- 1251 Law of Contracts (PDF with Quizzes)
- 351 Promulgated Contract Forms (PDF with Quizzes)
Step 2
- Download the 6 required courses to your desktop, laptop or iPad
- Read offline at your convenience and at your own speed
- Log in at the end of each course for a quiz
- Make a 100on each of the quizzes to proceed
Step 3.
Take the Real Estate Exam Prep Class online.
We recommend that you complete the Texas Real Estate Prep Course to ensure you are ready for the Texas Real Estate Exam. This class greatly improves your chances of passing the test on the first go around.

Step 4
Take the Texas Real Estate Exam
- Once TREC receives your course completion certificates from us, you must schedule to take your exam with PSI Examination Services. Appointments can be made by calling (800) 733-9267 or visiting www.psiexams.com.
- NOTE: You must pass the state exam within 6 months of the application approval.
About the Texas Real Estate Exam
- Your state exam is divided into two sections, National and State, and will consist of 110 questions with a total of 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
- 80 Questions will be National with 1.45 hours to complete, while 30 questions will be State with 45 minutes to complete.
- You will know if you have passed the exam before you leave the testing center.
- If you have submitted your sponsorship form already, your license will be mailed to your sponsoring broker within 7-10 days of passing the exam.
- Otherwise, you will be considered "inactive" until you choose a broker and submit the Request to Sponsor Salesperson Applicant form.
